Graduation season is underway. Find when Athens area high schools are holding ceremonies.

May is a busy month for high school graduations in Athens and northeast Georgia.

The Clarke County School District has announced that Cedar Shoals graduation is planned for 9 a.m. May 23 at Waters-Wilkins Stadium on campus.

Graduation for Clarke Central is set for 9 a.m. May 24 at Billy Henderson Stadium.

Weather contingency plans call for the ceremonies to be delayed until 8 p.m. on the same day. However, if the weather forecast made on May 16 calls for inclement weather for the entire day, the ceremonies will be moved to 9 a.m. inside the Classic Center in downtown Athens. In that event, four tickets will be issued to each graduate for guests due to limited seating.

The Classic City High School ceremony is scheduled for 5 p.m. May 23 in the Vernon Payne Meeting Hall at the District Office.

Athens Academy will hold its graduation ceremony at 2 p.m. May 19 in the Classic Center. Prince Avenue Christian School graduation is 10 a.m. May 18 at the school on Ruth Jackson Road in Bogart.

In Oconee County, North Oconee High will hold graduation at 7:30 p.m. May 17 in Titan Stadium with a weather makeup day at 7:30 p.m. May 18.

Oconee County High graduation is set for 7:30 p.m. May 18 at Warrior Stadium with a weather makeup of 7:30 p.m. May 19.

Madison County High graduation is planned for 8 p.m. May 24 in Red Raider Stadium.

In Jackson County, Jackson County High graduation is set for 10 a.m. May 18 in Panther Stadium. Jefferson High School graduation is 8 p.m. May 17 in Memorial Stadium, while Commerce High School is set for 8 p.m. May 22 at Tiger Field.
