The Graduates: Seniors prepare for commencement

May 23—The grass is green, the lilacs are blooming, and proud parents and friends are planning graduation parties from one end of Lake County to the other.

Two Eagle River School, celebrating its 50th anniversary, hosted the first graduation, with 20 seniors receiving their diplomas on Sunday, May 19, at the school in Pablo.

Next will be Charlo High School, 3 p.m. May 26, followed by Ronan, whose graduates will receive their diplomas May 31 from 7-8 p.m. on the RHS football field.

Polson, St. Ignatius and Arlee high schools hold graduation ceremonies on June 1. Polson seniors will walk at 10 a.m. at Linderman Gym. St. Ignatius students don caps and gowns for a noon ceremony, and Arlee graduation is from noon until 2 p.m. at Arlee High School.

Salish Kootenai College's graduation ceremony is Sunday, June 8, at the Joe McDonald Health and Fitness Center.
