Goodwill will open new store in far northeast Wichita
WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Goodwill Industries of Kansas announced the opening of its newest store in Wichita. The store will be located at 11027 E. 29th St. N, near Wichita’s Topgolf.
The store will host a grand opening at 9 a.m. Friday, March 1.
“This expansion reflects our goal to provide more essential services and programs to those in need. By adding this store, we are providing a convenient shopping and donating experience to a fast-growing area of Wichita,” Laura Ritterbush, president/CEO of Goodwill Industries of Kansas, said.
Activities will continue through Saturday and include giveaways, prizes and food trucks. The public is invited.
Goodwill is a nonprofit that provides job training, employment placement services, and other community-based programs for people who face barriers in their employment.
“For example, Goodwill provides the adult education program, NexStep Alliance, that provides GED instruction classes for those seeking a Kansas high school diploma, and English-as-a-Second Language and Citizenship integration classes,” Raymond Dondlinger, Goodwill board chair, said.
