GoFundMe made for family of pregnant woman killed during storms in Port Allen
WEST BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — A GoFundMe has been created for the family of a woman who died in Port Allen during a storm on Monday, May 13.
Kristin Browning, 31, was killed after a tree fell on her home during Monday’s severe weather. State officials said she was nine months pregnant, and the fetus did not survive.
The sheriff’s office said an adult male and a five-year-old were also in the trailer and were taken to a local hospital.
A GoFundMe has now been created to help the Browning/Kent family.
“If any of you know this family they are always willing to help anyone in need. They now need our help,” the fundraiser said.
As of Tuesday, the GoFundMe has surpassed its $3,000 goal. $10,223 has been raised so far.
Donations can be made online.
