Apr. 3—MINERSVILLE — Minersville police said Thursday they are seeking an arrest warrant for a Girardville woman wanted on drug charges.

Patrolman Jeffrey Bowers said the department is looking for Michelle L. Brennan, 52, of 238 Preston Ave., who is charged with one felony count of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and one misdemeanor count each of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The charges are the result of an investigation into an incident at North and Cherry streets around 10:30 p.m. Oct. 26.

Bowers said that Patrolman Andrew Weaver initiated a traffic stop on a Ford Explorer driven by Brennan and asked the woman if she had anything illegal in the vehicle to which she said she did not.

Brennan agreed to allow Weaver to search her vehicle, which resulted in the discovery of an unlabeled orange pill bottle holding a clear plastic bag filled with a white powdery substance inside her purse.

Also located in the woman's USA Gold cigarette pack was a glass smoking device with residue common to the use of methamphetamine, Bowers said.

Bowers said that the powdery substance field tested positive for heroin and had a weight of 7.6 grams.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Brennan is asked to call Minersville police at 570-544-2333.
