George County Sheriff’s Office searches Lucedale home, arrests 3 people

GEORGE COUNTY, Miss. (WKRG) — George County sheriff’s deputies executed a search warrant and found narcotics and stolen property, leading to three arrests, according to reports.

The George County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division and the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics reportedly conducted a search warrant of a residence in the 200 block of Forest Hill Drive in Lucedale, Mississippi, on April 3, 2024.

INCIDENT LOCATION:

Officials say the warrant came after a shed burglary in the Agricola community. Tools, electronics, and other items were allegedly taken during the previous incident.

During the search, law enforcement found an “abundance of stolen properties and narcotics,” according to a press release.

48-year-old Marques Hilton of Lucedale, 32-year-old Angela Todd of Chickasaw, and 41-year-old Brandon Benkowich of Lucedale were arrested by authorities after they searched the home, according to the GCSO.

Hilton was arrested on charges of Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance with intent to distribute and Felony Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. He also had a detainer through the Mississippi Department of Corrections, according to reports.

Todd was arrested and charged with Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Benkowich was arrested and charged with Felony Burglary of Commercial Building.
