Gas shut off after natural gas line hit in residential Topeka neighborhood

TOPEKA (KSNT) – Kansas Gas Service crews are working on an incident where a natural gas line was struck in west Topeka.

Thursday morning crews were called to SW 17th Street and SW McAlister Avenue after it was reported that an individual hit a natural gas line. Crews shut the gas off, impacting one nearby home.

Repairs are expected to be finished May 2. If you need to report a gas leak you should call 911 and then the emergency line at 888-482-4950 or submit a request by clicking here.
