Garden City man arrested, suspected to have raped two juveniles

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A Garden City man was arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of raping two juveniles while attempting to rape a third.

The investigation started on March 22 after officers received a report of child sexual assault, prompting an investigation.

Garden City police said the investigation found the man, 37, allegedly sexually assaulted two juveniles and attempted to sexually assault another juvenile victim over the course of “several years.”

The three victims were known to him, Garden City police say.

The man was arrested by police at his home on Wednesday, and was booked into the Finney County Jail on suspicion of multiple counts of rape, aggravated indecent liberties with a child, aggravated criminal sodomy, and attempted aggravated indecent liberties with a child.

An investigation is ongoing.

KSN does not name suspects until formal charges have been filed.
