Future Fund supporting local nonprofits that impact the community

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Started in 1997, the Future Fund is an organization that pool their money to start an endowment. In partnership with Young Professionals of Albuquerque, they are teaming up to host an event “Powering Up” the community.

The free event will be Thursday, June 13 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Tractor Brewing Wells Park. The event offers people a fun networking opportunity. At the event a grant will be awarded to a local nonprofit. The Future Fund’s model is to grant unfunded letters of intent to the Albuquerque Community Foundation’s Annual Grant Cycle. The model helps to make sure the grants have an impact on nonprofits in the community.

Anyone interested in becoming a Future Fund member can sign up for $240 per year. The June, 13 event is free to attend, guests can register to attend online. For more information, click here.
