Fundraiser launched to help family of couple killed in Helendale suspected murder-suicide
A GoFundMe.com fundraiser was established Tuesday to help the grieving family of a couple found shot to death in their Helendale home in what investigators initially suspected to be a murder-suicide.
Ondrea Fulkerson, 47, and her husband Aaron Fulkerson, 44, were discovered shot to death shortly after 5:30 p.m. Sunday at their home in the 26900 block of Lakeview Drive, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.
Initial investigation by detectives determined Aaron Fulkerson shot Ondrea Fulkerson before shooting himself, authorities said. But officials causes and manners of death will be determined through autopsies by San Bernardino County coroner's officials.
Ondrea Fulkerson is survived by three children, ages 10, 18 and 23, according to a message from the eldest daughter, Hailey Shipp, accompanying an online fundraiser established Tuesday to aid the family with funeral expenses. Aaron Fulkerson was stepfather to the children.
"My soul is sunken. They were our entire lives. Our world has been turned over," she said. "This is an absolute shock and pain to every single one of us, to include her children."

"We are trying our best to obtain resources to provide them with the most dignity and respect upon their tragic passing," Shipp said.
The fund received more than $1,000 in donations within two hours of appearing on Tuesday.
