Fresno PD asks for help in solving 2015 fatal shooting

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – The Fresno Police Department is asking the public for help for a shooting in 2015 that left a 21-year-old dead.

Police say in the morning of Aug. 29, 2015, Deondre Howard was fatally shot in the area of Charles Avenue and Emerson Avenue. Howard was outside with another family member when an armed suspect approached and opened fire.

According to police, Howard was fatally wounded, and the second man survived his injuries.

Police say Howard was a standout athlete at Edison High School where he played baseball and football.
