Free Lyft rides being offered for Cinco de Mayo 2024

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Planning ahead for Cinco de Mayo and wondering how you’ll get home? Don’t worry — you could be eligible for a free Lyft ride.

The Washington Regional Alcohol Program (WRAP) will be offering free Lyft codes for residents of the Greater Washington area celebrating Cinco de Mayo to combat drunk driving.

Safe Passage program rolls out at several Prince George’s County schools

The 2024 Cinco de Mayo SoberRide program will begin at noon on Sunday, May 5 until midnight on Monday, May 6.

During this 12-hour period, adults celebrating with alcohol should download the Lyft app and enter their SoberRide code in the Payment tab.

The codes will provide up to $15 off a ride. The code can be found here when it gets posted at 11 a.m. on May 5.
