Die hard Chick fans have been known to go to great lengths to get their fried chicken fix. It's not uncommon to see lines wrapped around the store during grand openings, and it seems like Chick-fil-A never sounds quite as delicious as it does on a Sunday - AKA, the only day you can't get it. And despite gaining some unwanted attention for donating to anti-LGBTQ organizations in the past, Chick-Fil-A's fan following remains as strong as ever. Expect to see more than a few fans of the brand roll out for free chicken on the 11th, but before you line up for your free meal, don't forget the golden ticket: a cow costume.

In honor of Cow Appreciation Day, Chick-fil-A is giving away a free entree to any patron who shows up decked out in some kind of cow garb. That's right -- stop by with a cow t-shirt, a full-on cow suit, or head-to-toe body paint, and you'll earn yourself a nugget pack, sandwich, chicken biscuit, or other menu item of your choosing. It's part of Chick-fil-A's annual customer appreciation stunt, which tends to draw secret Chick-fil-A fans out of the woodwork.

Previous Cow Appreciation Days required patrons to come decked out in full cow garb to receive a free meal, but this year, Chick-Fil-A has streamlined the giveaway so that there's no confusion about whether or not someone's outfit clears the cow costume standard. The jury's still out on whether or not a cowbell counts, but it seems like a safe bet.

Some people wondered whether or not Cow Appreciation Day would still be a thing in 2017, given Chick-fil-A's recent split from the agency responsible for their long-standing cow branding, The Richard's Group. But after fielding quite a bit of concern from loyal, cow-loving Chick-fil-A fans, Chick-Fil-A announced that the beloved cows wouldn't be going anywhere anytime soon. Translation: they still want you to EAT MOR CHIKIN, and you might as well do it today.
