While there are plenty of great free food deals going on this week, the obvious winning choice is free ice cream at Carvel. On Thursday, April 27, the dessert shop is giving away junior-size cones as part of its annual Free Cone Day from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at participating locations.

You can choose from vanilla, chocolate, and the limited-edition Cookie Butter flavor (which made with real Biscoff cookies, so it's a must-try while you're there). The speculoos soft-serve is only available through May 28, so you better get your hands on a cone sooner than later.

To keep the warm feelings going, you can also donate to the Red Cross' National Day of Giving. In return, Carvel will offer customers a $1 coupon book worth more than $20 in savings-with all proceeds going towards a donation to support American Red Cross disaster relief efforts. Honestly, free ice cream and a charitable donation sounds like an ideal day to us.
