BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The president and CEO of Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University will be retiring, according to a Monday, May 13 announcement.

School officials said Tina S. Holland will be leaving FranU in the summer of 2025 after 11 years of service.

“FranU is a treasure to the community, and a gift to all of us who are blessed to serve our mission to educate and form Franciscan servant leaders of all faiths. I’m grateful for the privilege to serve and lead this beautiful educational ministry for 11 years,” Holland said.

Under Holland’s leadership, the university grew programs in response to community needs while achieving record-high academic outcomes, developed sophisticated enrollment management strategies and improved fundraising capabilities, according to the announcement.

“From the moment she arrived on campus, Dr. Holland has led FranU with energy, passion, vision and integrity. She will leave a legacy of growth, academic success, and community engagement centered around a deep commitment to our mission. Her retirement is well-earned and while we will miss her, we are excited to build on the momentum she has created,” Chair of the Board of Trustees Todd Schexnayder said.
