WEST HAZLETON, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— Four people have been displaced after a house fire damaged a home in Luzerne County early Sunday morning, according to West Hazleton Fire Chief Brandon Cressman.

Cressman states that they received a call at 3:45 a.m. for a reported house fire on the 500 block of Winters Ave.

Authorities say that the fire department arrived on scene shortly after, and used two hose lines to knock down the fire quickly and contained it to the first floor.

Cressman says that there were no injuries, but four people were displaced and are currently staying with a family member.

Officials say the fire is under investigation, but is not considered suspicious.

Hazleton and Hazle Township Fire Departments also assisted on scene.
