Fort Myers couple faces charges after providing narcotics to minor, sheriff's office says

A Fort Myers couple faces child neglect charges after authorities say they frequently provided narcotics to a minor.

Dwayne Staron, 44, faces charges of lewd and lascivious molestation of a minor; contributing to the delinquency of a minor; and child neglect, while Theresa Staron, 54, faces charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and child neglect.

On Tuesday morning, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Warrants Unit, along with the U.S. Marshals Service Florida/Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force, located and arrested the couple.

The sheriff's office said detectives discovered during their investigation that the couple frequently provided narcotics to a minor. In addition, detectives learned Dwayne had sexual interactions with a minor, authorities said.

The couple is next due in court June 10 for their arraignments.
