How is Fort Collins doing? This survey wants to know.

Fort Collins has been called one of the best places to live in America, literally.

But maybe you believe Fort Collins is not as great as it used to be. Or maybe you think city government is lacking in some ways.

No matter your viewpoint, the city of Fort Collins wants to hear it in its annual community survey, open now through the end of May.

The survey, which the city estimates takes 15 to 20 minutes to complete, asks respondents to rate city services and amenities and give input on what the city's priorities should be.

It asks questions on topics like: quality of life, safety, emergency and police services, parks and facilities, transportation, utilities, the environment, neighborhoods, the economy and business climate, customer service and creating an inclusive community.

Survey responses are confidential, and the responses help the city prioritize programs, improve services, identify disparities and improve outreach, the city said in a news release.

While the survey that is sent to randomly selected households is statistically valid, residents who don't get a survey in the mail can participate by filling out the survey (in English or Spanish) on the city's website. There, you can also see reports from past community surveys.
