Former Dothan Fire Medic arrested once again on theft charges

HOUSTON COUNTY, Ala (WDHN) — A former Dothan Fire Medic facing theft and computer tampering charges from two separate arrests was arrested again this week.

On Wednesday, Houston County Sheriff’s deputies arrested and charged Jesse Taylor with four counts of theft.

Last year, Taylor pleaded guilty to stealing fentanyl from the Dothan Fire Department, where he worked as a fire medic, in 2022.

While out on bond for his first theft charge, Taylor was arrested again alongside a Dothan City Official. He was accused of tampering with the county-wide first responder alert system by diverting sensitive messages and information to his device. He also pled guilty to these charges in 2023.

Taylor will go in front of Houston County Judge Christopher Richardson on June 18 to discuss the possibility of him receiving probation on his original charges.
