Former Bristol educational assistant charged with exploiting minor

BRISTOL, Tenn. (WJHL) – A former educational assistant and assistant coach in the Bristol Tennessee City Schools (BTCS) system has been accused of using an electronic device to exploit a minor.

Jason Milhorn was indicted in Sullivan County on Feb. 28 on the charge of exploitation of a minor by electronic means.

According to the indictment, Milhorn’s offense occurred “on or about January 2023 through on or about May 2023.”

Milhorn allegedly used electronic means to show a teenager offensive or sexual activity.

A BTCS spokesperson confirmed Milhorn was a former educational assistant and assistant middle school football coach. The spokesperson told News Channel 11 on Monday that he is no longer employed with the school district.

According to the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office, Milhorn was booked into the Sullivan County Jail on March 9 and released that same day after posting a $10,000 bond.

He is set to appear in Sullivan County court on May 10.
