Foley woman dies in crash Sunday afternoon

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. (WKRG) — A woman from Foley is dead after a crash Sunday afternoon near Magnolia Springs. The crash happened just before 5 pm Sunday on Vernant Park Road near Bay Road East, about five miles from the city limits of Magnolia Springs.

Members of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency say a pick-up truck, driven by 50-year-old Cathleen Taylor, left the roadway and overturned.

A report from ALEA says Taylor wasn’t wearing a seatbelt and she was thrown from the truck. She was taken to University Hospital where she later died from her injuries.

A 44-year-old man from Elberta was a passenger in the truck was also taken to University Hospital for treatment.
