Florence Police investigating woman’s death due to ‘suspicious circumstances’

FLORENCE, Ala. (WHNT) – Florence Police say they are investigating a 31-year-old woman’s death due to suspicious circumstances.

The Florence Police Department (FPD) said officers responded to West Mobile Street after a family member had called to report they found Marshai Nicole Gayden dead in her home.

When they arrived, FPD said it set up a crime scene because of suspicious circumstances and detectives were called to process the scene.

Gayden’s body was sent to the Alabama Department of Forensic Science for autopsy.
