Flock cameras help find missing teens in Mentor

MENTOR, Ohio (WJW) — License plate-reading cameras helped Mentor police find two missing juveniles.

The city’s Flock cameras on May 8 alerted police to a pickup truck with Pennsylvania plates, which had inside a 15-year-old girl who had been reported missing from Pennsylvania.

When police officers stopped the truck at the intersection of Center Street and Munson Road, they also found a 16-year-old boy from Maryland who had also been reported missing.

The teens met on Snapchat, according to the release. The girl then took her grandfather’s truck and picked up the boy. Both were released to their legal guardians.
