Five businesses cited for liquor violations

HAZLETON, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police conducted a Bureau of Liquor and Control Enforcement (LCB) resulting in five bars in Luzerne County being cited for violations.

According to the Hazleton Police Department, on April 20 officers inspected multiple bars in the Hazleton area.

DUI checkpoint results in felon arrested on gun charges

Investigators stated the LCB cited the following businesses for violations:

  • Mambo Cafe Inc t/a Mambo Cafe Inc (aka Galaxy)

    • Permitted smoking in a public place where smoking is not permitted, not adhering to the conditional licensing agreement, and in possession of alcohol after 2:30 a.m.

  • Eros Cafe LLC, t/a Eros Cafe

    • Excessively loud music and liquor licenses not properly posted

  • Kayro Lounge and Restuarnt LLC, t/a Kayro Lounge

    • Permitted smoking in a public place where smoking is not permitted and sold, furnished or gave liquor for consumption off the premises

  • Sazon Latino Restuarnt 2 LLC t/a Sazon Latino Restaurant 2 LLC

    • Sales of alcohol with an expired health permit permitted smoking in a public place where smoking is not permitted, and liquor licenses not properly posted

  • 511 Broad LCL t/a 511 Broad LLC (aka Flowx Lounge)

    • Permitted smoking in a public place where smoking is not permitted, excessively loud music

One bar in Hazleton passed the enforcement and was given no violations, officers noted.
