Five $50,000 Powerball tickets sold across NY; including two in Queens

QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) – Five people in New York are $50,000 richer following Monday’s Powerball drawing, according to lottery officials.

Two third-prize-winning tickets were sold in Queens. Here’s where they were sold:

  • Kai Smart Family Store Inc., 199-11 32nd Ave. in Flushing

  • J M Deli & Grocery Corp., 73-01 88th St. in Ridgewood

The three other $50,000 tickets were sold in other areas of the state. One ticket was sold in Ardsley, another in Buffalo and the third in West Seneca, lottery officials said.

The Powerball jackpot has climbed to $865 million, with a cash option of $416.1 million. The Mega Millions jackpot has surpassed $1.1 billion, with a cash option of $525.8 million.
