SJCFR says two dogs in serious condition after being removed from home fire in Crescent Beach

UPDATE 5:30 p.m.: The fire department said the home fire that started earlier this afternoon has been brought under control. They said units entered the building under “wind driven fire conditions.”

Three dogs were located and pulled from the home. Two of the dogs were transported by fire rescue to a local emergency veterinary clinic in serious condition.

“The other dog was treated on scene and was released to their owner,” SJCFR said.

St. Johns County Fire Rescue said units responded to the area of 5000 A1A South.

“Units on scene of a heavily involved structure fire,” a Facebook post read on their account. “Heavy fire showing upon arrival.”
