Firefighters battle furious blaze at Indian Land home

INDIAN LAND, S.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A Lancaster County home was engulfed in flames overnight Monday.

According to the Indian Land Fire District, firefighters battled a fire at a home near Indian Land. Heavy fire was encountered on arrival throughout the first floor.

Crews from Indian Land stations 1 and 2 received assistance from Wesley Chapel Fire Department, Waxhaw Volunteer Fire Department, Fort Mill and Charlotte Road/Van Wyck Fire Department. Searches reportedly found no victims.

Indian Land Fire District is the result of the 2023 merger between the Indian Land Fire Department and Pleasant Valley Fire Department.
