Firefighter hospitalized in southwest Charlotte house fire

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – A firefighter was hospitalized in an overnight house fire Friday morning by Soldier Road and Buckie Court in southwest Charlotte.

Medic confirmed one firefighter was transported to an area medical center with non-life-threatening injuries. A second firefighter was treated on scene and not transported.

The circumstances surrounding the fire have not yet been released.

Queen City News is on scene and learned from Charlotte Fire Department that Steele Creek VFD and Meck County FMO is investigating.
