Fire extinguished at waste transfer station in Las Cruces
EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Las Cruces firefighters responded to a fire at the South Central Solid Waste Transfer Station over the weekend
According to the Las Cruces Fire Department (LCFD), at about 9:20 p.m. Saturday, April 27, firefighters were called to the fire at 2865 West Amador Ave.
According to LCFD, 15 firefighters arrived on the scene and the fire was brought under control in 14 minutes.
The transfer station was not occupied, and no injuries were reported, according to LCFD.
Estimates of the cause of the fire and damage are not available at this moment.
