Fire departments express condolences for Grand Marais Fire Chief Rickey Olivier
JEANERETTE, La. (KLFY) — Fire departments around Acadiana are expressing their sadness at the death of Grand Marais Fire Chief Rickey “Turk” Olivier.
Olivier, 66, died on April 2.
The Louisiana Office of State Fire Marshal posted the following to its Facebook page:
“State Fire Marshal Chief Bryan J Adams, on behalf of the entire SFM family, extends his condolences to the Grand Marais Fire Dept. family and the loved ones of Fire Chief Rickey ‘Turk’ Olivier following his passing. He was 66 years old. We hope all Louisianans join us in keeping this community in your hearts during this difficult time.”
Two Acadiana men die in Sabine Parish fire
The Rynella Volunteer Fire Department in Iberia Parish posted: “It is with great sadness to hear of the passing of Fire Chief Rickey ‘Turk’ Olivier of Grand Marais. We, as Rynella Volunteer Fire Department, send over our condolences to Grand Marais Fire Department as well as friends and family of Rickey Olivier.”
