Fire damages vacant home in Las Cruces

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Las Cruces firefighters put out a fire that damaged a vacant home Monday afternoon, May 6.

The firefighters responded to the scene around 5:15 p.m. on Monday at the 800 block of East Madrid Ave.

According to the news release by the Las Cruces Fire Department, the fire and building conditions required firefighters to use extreme caution.

The firefighters eventually brought the fire under control around 6:30 p.m., according to Las Cruces Fire.

No injuries were reported and the investigation is still ongoing into what caused the fire.
