Fire damages home in Luzerne County

BUTLER TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— A fire damaged a home in Luzerne County on Saturday morning.

According to the Valley Regional Fire Department, Crews responded to a second-alarm fire on the 20 block of Maple Street just after 9:00 a.m.

No one was injured, but it is unsure if the home will be a total loss, according to authorities.

Valley Regional says The Red Cross is currently helping the family in need as three people were displaced.

Valley Regional was assisted on the scene by the Hazle Township and Foster Township Fire Departments.

Officials say the fire has been ruled accidental.
