Fire burns through a home in Taylor

TAYLOR, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — At least four were displaced after a fire in Taylor Friday night.

According to the Lackawanna County Communication Center, first responders were dispatched to the 700 block of South Main Street for a report of a residential structure fire.

Taylor Fire Chief Wes Jones says they are still working to knock down some walls but believe the fire may have started in the attic.

At this time Chief Jones notes there are no injuries and he is unsure how many are displaced but he thinks it’s more than four.

Officials state fire marshall will be on the scene on Sunday to determine an official cause of the fire.
