8-year-old Roman suffered burns on 45% of his body after a Russian missile attack on Vinnytsia on July 14, 2022. A graduate student at the University of London has decided to make a movie about the little boy.

The movie will be titled Romchyk, said the kid’s father, Yaroslav Oleksiv on Facebook.

The author of the idea and producer is Kostiantyn Bidnenko.

"In a world plagued by conflict, this short film is a testament to indomitable human spirit," the film's website reads.

“This is not just the story of one boy it is also about millions of children whose lives will never be the same because of the war.”

The author also noted that "dreams cannot be burned" and the story is inspired by real events.

Roman Oleksiv was one of the victims of the Russian missile attack on Vinnytsia. He received numerous burns and lost his mother. The child underwent rehabilitation at the UNBROKEN Center and, despite constant pain, continues to pursue what he loves – dancing.
