FHP: Gainesville woman, 63, dies in single-vehicle crash on I-75 in Alachua County

A 63-year-old Gainesville woman was killed Monday morning in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 75 in Alachua County, according to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

Monday at 7:30 a.m.

Where did the crash happen?

Northbound I-75 at mile marker 402.

The FHP report

According to the report, the Gainesville woman was driving a Nissan SUV north on I-75 when it traveled off the roadway, struck a large tree and overturned. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. A 3-month old child in the vehicle suffered minor injuries and was taken to UF Health Shands Hospital.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
