Few storms Saturday afternoon; Memorial Day forecast

Columbus, Ga (WRBL)- Tracking some storms for the start of your weekend. While most of us are dry this Saturday morning, there are a few pop up showers early this morning. Storms will move in later this afternoon, and some could be strong to severe. Ahead of the rain, temperatures will reach into the upper 80s and even 90s.

The end of the weekend will be drier with a few passing clouds throughout the day. Plus, afternoon highs will trend warmer, getting into the lower 90s.

Memorial Day we will be dodging two round of storms as a cold front moves through the southeast. One likely in the morning and another in the afternoon. As the front moves through, winds will pick up and likely gust up to 20 mph at times.

After this cold front, the rest of the week will dry out with alot more sunshine through the workweek. One more day in the 90s Tuesday and then “cooler” 80s through Friday.
