Fergie interrupts The Roots to sing about her 'Humps' on 'The Tonight Show'

On The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the host introduced a little-known band with the almost super-famous name of “Black Simon and Garfunkel.” Questlove and “Captain” Kirk Douglas played the roles of Simon and Garfunkel and began with the lyrics, “She’s got me spending. Spending all my money on her.” Then they paused and were joined by musical guest Fergie.

Dressed all in black (matching Questlove and Douglas), she donned a black beret and helped Black Simon and Garfunkel folkify her famous “My Humps” song the folk out. They sang, “What you gonna do with all that junk, all that junk inside your trunk? I’m-a get get get you drunk, get you love drunk off my hump,” but with a mellow acoustic vibe appropriate to a coffeehouse.

The lovely lady’s mellow version of “My Humps” turned out to be maybe even better than the original. And unfortunately this wasn’t aired on a Wednesday; otherwise, there would have definitely been a joke about that in there somewhere.
