Jennifer Lawrence shows off her axe-throwing skills on ‘The Tonight Show’
Jennifer Lawrence stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where she and Fallon decided to hurl some axes at a wood target with a man in a cowboy hat painted on it. The axe-throwing game was actually Lawrence’s idea. “I went to a bar with one of my brothers in Kentucky called Flying Axes, and I threw axes and drank beer,” she said to Fallon. “You drink and throw axes?” he said to her. “Yeah,” she said, “I just really don’t want you to win.”
Those turned out to be words that would haunt her, as Fallon turned out to have quite the axe-throwing talent. Although his first axe sailed over the board, his second nailed the cowboy where it counts — and the final axe went straight to his head.
Lawrence, on the other hand, should maybe stick to acting. The two-handed thrower just couldn’t hack it at this game, with all three of her axes bouncing right off the target.
