FBI searching for man who who got on a CTA bus after robbing Skokie bank

SKOKIE, Ill. — The FBI is investigating after a Chase Bank was robbed Monday in Skokie by a man who possibly fled on a CTA bus.

According to the FBI, a man came into the bank around 10:15 a.m. in the 7900 block of Lincoln Avenue, demanded money and implied he had a gun.

He is described as being in his 20s, about 5 feet 7 to 5 feet 9 inches tall, with thin hair, black hair and a clean-shaven face.

The FBI said he was wearing a grayish and black pattern zip-up hooded sweatshirt with a yellow print down the right arm, a black, puffy jacket, dark jeans, black Doc Martin-style boots, a dark ski mask and blue sunglasses.

The man is believed to have fled the area by getting on CTA bus #1547, route 97, the FBI said.

Before robbing the bank, the FBI said the man is believed to have been at the Skokie library.
