FBI offers reward for ‘Tan Pants Bandit’ accused of robbing Albuquerque bank

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The FBI, along with the Rio Rancho Police Department and the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office, are seeking the public’s assistance to identify a man who robbed the Bank of Albuquerque on Thursday.

The FBI said the “Tan Pants Bandit” entered the bank at 6600 4th St. NW, Los Ranchos De Albuquerque, at approximately 4:55 p.m. Officials said he demanded money from the teller and was given an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect then fled westbound on Nora Vista Road toward 4th Street in a white sedan, likely a 2016 Buick Verano.

Suspect’s description:

  • Sex: Male

  • Race: White

  • Height: Approximately 5’7”

  • Build: stocky

  • Clothing: Tan pants, black button-up shirt, black baseball cap with white emblem on the front, black face mask, glasses, black and white Nike sneakers

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of this suspect.
