Various law enforcement agencies were alerted to Ulysses Bush, 44, allegedly distributing substantial amounts of methamphetamine across Northwest Arkansas, according to a news release from the United States Attorney’s Office. From November 2022 to January 2023, law enforcement carried out several controlled buys of methamphetamine from Bush.

Bush faced charges for possessing more than two pounds of methamphetamine after the combined aftermath of the controlled buys, traffic stops and the storage unit raid, according to court documents.

According to Ark Behavioral Health, one gram of crystal meth sells for an average of $20 to $60 dollars. The quantity Bush was responsible for could potentially be valued anywhere from $20,000 to $40,000.

Bush was arrested on April 6, 2023, for possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest, according to Washington County detention reports.

In April 2023, the 4th Judicial District Drug Task Force conducted a search warrant on a Fayetteville storage unit leased by Bush. During this operation, officers found more methamphetamine, fentanyl pills, body armor and a firearm, a news release says.
