'My Father-in-Law Is Going to Kill Me': Husband Allegedly Confessed to Killing Wife After Body Found in Home

A Texas man has been arrested after he allegedly told a 911 operator that he killed his wife a day after her body was found wrapped in a tarp in his home, per authorities.

Christopher Robertson, 33, has been charged with murder in connection with the killing of his wife Kristlynne Robertson, according to jail records and an arrest warrant.

Police responded Friday evening to a Fort Worth, Texas, home after they were notified about a dead body at the residence, investigators said in an arrest warrant obtained by Law & Crime and reviewed by PEOPLE.

Authorities found 34-year-old Kristlynne without a shirt and with blood on her skin “wrapped up inside a blue tarp” inside the home, the arrest warrant states. She also had bruises on her neck.

According to police, Christopher’s brother returned to the residence after being away for several days and found his brother “extremely intoxicated” and smelling of “a strong foul odor" in the residence, per the warrant. He followed Christopher to the bedroom and found Kristlynne’s body.

The brother, who is not identified in the warrant, “removed” his brother and a gun from the scene, then called police, the warrant states.

The next day, Christopher allegedly called 911 and made several remarks, including some that indicated he had a role in Kristlynne’s death, authorities said in the warrant.

“My father in-law is going to kill me,” he said in a portion of the call, per police. He then allegedly said “I killed his daughter” before identifying himself, his wife and their address, which was the same location that police found Kristlynne’s body the previous night.

On Sunday, when officers went to Christopher’s house, he allegedly “admitted to shooting his wife” and said that he “wanted to go to jail,” per the warrant. He also reportedly handed officers his gun and allegedly said he used it to kill Kristlynne.

Robertson is being held on $100,000 bond, jail records show. His plea and attorney information were not immediately available.
