Family dog rescued from Lemoore home engulfed in flames, firefighters say

LEMOORE, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A dog was miraculously saved after fleeing into a home fully engulfed in flames Monday afternoon, the Lemoore Volunteer Fire Department Association announced.

Firefighters say they responded to a structure fire in Lemoore where, upon arrival, they found a home fully engulfed in flames.

While on the scene, fire crews were notified that a family dog had run back inside the fully engulfed home.

After crews put out the flames, as they conducted a scene assessment they moved some furniture around and reported the dog was found under a bed curled in the back corner.

Firefighters say they quickly removed the dog from the scene to cool her down and provide her with some oxygen.

Officials report the family pet is doing well.
