Family of Daleville teen killed in domestic dispute needs help with funeral expenses

DALEVILLE, Ala. (WDHN) — The family of a Daleville teen needs financial help laying their loved one to rest.

A GoFundMe page has been set up for Jacob Wade Smith who is without life insurance.

Right now, the page is just a little over $1,000 but the goal is to raise $10,000.

Smith was found dead after being shot in the neck at a home in the 100 block of Woodland Drive in Daleville.

Officials say Smith and a family member got into a fight that turned into violence — leaving Smith dead.

“Right now I’m trying to promote it as much as I can because it is really not fair what happened to him he deserves to have a proper funeral because people care about him and I’m not the only one because he had other friends,” Alina McKnight said.
