FACT continues investigation into rollover crash that left one injured and one dead

SOUTH BEND — A preliminary investigation from the St. Joseph County Fatal Crash Team revealed that one of the two occupants in the rollover crash that occurred April 18 in the 700 block of Indiana Avenue died at the scene.

Officers were dispatched to single vehicle rollover around 10:55 a.m. and, upon arrival, found that two individuals from the crash had been ejected from the vehicle, according to a press release from the St. Joseph County Prosecutor's office.

South Bend resident Edward Laskowski, 58, had minor injuries. However, the second occupant, 47-year-old South Bend resident LaDawn Marie Laskowski, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The press release said that Laskowski is cooperating with police and did not show signs of impairment.

The crash remains under investigation by the Fatal Crash Team.
