Here’s How Everyone Reacted to Khloé Kardashian’s Pregnancy Reveal on ‘KUWTK’
Although Khloé Kardashian revealed her pregnancy to the public in a baby-bump Instagram post in December, she actually told her family the news over the summer. And on the latest episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, we finally got to see how it all went down — including how her family reacted.
Khloé waited until she was almost six months along to tell the public about her pregnancy, but she shared the news with her loved ones at six weeks. She made the big announcement at a backyard BBQ at momager Kris Jenner’s home, with her family, boyfriend Tristan Thompson’s family, and close friends in attendance.
Kris immediately hugged her daughter, then told Thompson that she didn’t think her daughter was ever going to be able to have kids. Kourtney Kardashian, meanwhile, quipped, “No wonder you gained a few pounds,” which followed questions about her sister’s diet and weight gain earlier in the episode.
Kim Kardashian West, who is expecting her third child via surrogate, was happy but said she wished she could share the moment with her little sister. “I wish that I was actually pregnant,” she lamented. And Kendall and Kylie Jenner, who weren’t at the BBQ, got on FaceTime to hear the news, which almost brought Kylie (who is reportedly expecting her own first child in the coming weeks, but who did not reveal the news in the episode as some thought she might) to tears.
But the KarJenners weren’t the first to know — Khloé told Thompson first, and then her assistant Alexa, who pointed out that some of the exhaustion the Revenge Body host had been experiencing made more sense.
In an on-camera interview, Kris further opened up about both her excitement to be a grandmother again, and her relief that Khloé’s dream of having kids is becoming a reality. “I always thought that Khloé would be one of those women who didn’t have kids, and I struggled with that,” she admitted. “It made me really sad. Because no one was born to do this more than Khloé.”
