Eva Longoria's new Apple TV+ series Land of Women has confirmed a release date.

The new series is based on the novel of the same name by Sandra Barneda, and follows three generations of a family who are forced to flee New York when they are implicated in financial improprieties.

It has now been revealed that the series will premiere on the streaming platform on June 26 with two episodes, with four further episodes dropping weekly afterwards.

Land of Women sees Longoria play Gala, an empty-nester in New York whose husband implicates the family in financial improprieties, forcing her to flee alongside her ageing mother (played by Carmen Maura) and teenage daughter (Victoria Bazúa).

They hide in a wine town in northern Spain, the same place Gala's mother fled from five decades prior, and vow to never return to the US.

However, while they try to start fresh and keep their real identities hidden, gossip starts to spread locally, with the deepest family truths threatening to unravel.

Land of Women has been created by Ramón Campos, Gema R Neira and Paula Fernández, and has been filmed in both English and Spanish.

The Apple TV+ series isn’t the only big project Longoria has lined up, with the Desperate Housewives star recently joining the cast of Only Murders in the Building season 4.

The actor's character remains under wraps for the time being, though we do know she will be "integral to the twists and turns of this season's investigation".

Land of Women is set to premiere on Apple TV+ on June 26 with two episodes, with further episodes being released weekly.
