Enjoy those mild temperatures this week, Austin. Highs in 70s and 80s, NWS says
A return to some milder and drier springtime temperatures is expected this week, with highs in the 70s and 80s, after Camp Mabry received a total of 0.69 inches Saturday, according to Eric Platt, a meteorologist at the National Weather Service in New Braunfels.
Austin's rainfall is looking good so far this month with totals of 2.71 inches, exceeding the normal monthly total of 1.58 inches, Platt said.
Monday is set to kick off a week of mild temperatures with partly cloudy skies and nighttime temperatures dropping into the low-50s. On Tuesday, highs will reach into the upper-70s with partially cloudy skies and wind gusts up to 20 mph. Wednesday through Friday will give us daily highs remaining in the low to mid 80s. Austin will have a 20 to 30% chance of thunderstorms between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Friday.
Temperatures on Saturday will skyrocket into the upper-80s, with high humidity levels and windy conditions.
