Enfield Southgate MP Bambos Charalambous readmitted to Labour Party

A former shadow minister, Bambos Charalambous, has been reinstated as a Labour MP, the party has confirmed.
The MP for Enfield Southgate was suspended after a complaint about his conduct in June.
A formal complaint was made to Labour's complaint process, and an investigation was then launched. Neither Mr Charalambous nor Labour commented on the nature of the claim.
Mr Charalambous said he was "delighted" his suspension had been lifted.
"I am grateful to the Labour Party Independent Complaints Board for clearing my name after a thorough investigation into the allegations against me," he posted on social media.
"Throughout this challenging time, my primary focus has been serving the constituents of Enfield Southgate.
"With this matter resolved, I look forward to returning to Parliament with the Labour whip restored to be the voice of my constituents once again in Westminster."
Mr Charalambous is a solicitor and worked for Hackney Council in its housing legal team before becoming an MP in 2017.
The 55-year-old has held several posts on Sir Keir Starmer's frontbench, including shadow minister for crime, and shadow minister for immigration.
