Endangered baby rhino basks in sun at zoo outside London

STORY: The six-week-old southern white calf was born on March 7th and now weighs 100kg.

White rhinos, like Benja, are facing threats of poaching and habitat loss in South Africa, with 500 killed last year for their horns, according to Zoological Society of London (ZSL), a global conservation charity.

A ZSL field team chose the name Benja in honor of the dominant black rhino bull who lives in the Tsavo Conservation Area in Kenya.
